The inaugural Stonebound event - A celebration of adventure close to home.

The premiere of three new climbing films, followed by live Q&As with the climbers themselves.

Plus prizes, local crafts, drinks, and a chance to chat a lot of nonsense with a lot (I hope) of nice folk

THE  FILMS

After being diagnosed with autoimmune arthritis, Tina Breslin took an introspective look at her climbing. Drawn to beautiful places and quiet mindset she finds, she began seeking out increasingly difficult - and tall - highball boulders

Highballing is the grey zone between free soloing and bouldering: climbing ropeless above crashpads, but beyond the height you can be sure they'll protect you.

The gritstone edges of the Pennines lend themselves to this style of climbing, though their widely spaced features rarely make ascent easy. At 5'2 Tina is often the first woman, or shortest person, to climb these proud lines.

Fierce is an intimate portrait of Tina. A film about grit.

though she be but little, she is fierce"

A HARD
LANDING

After a wild, spinning fall off of 'Lucid Interval of Insanity' a 7C+ highball boulder, Lieven Engels lost all confidence in his climbing.

He knew what he needed to do in order to get it back.

THIS ROUGH MAGIC

Climbing an 8B boulder is hard, really hard.

Gus Turner's 2024/25 season featured multiple. Including some of gritstone's most inspiring and sought after lines.
